Potential Side Effects:

Side effects of triamcinolone acetonide may include vomiting, stomach upset, changes in appetite, edema, heperglycemia and impaired wound healing. 

Triamcinolone acetonide should not be used in the presence of systemic fungal infections. Use with caution in pregnant animals especially late term.

Contraindications:

Do not use in viral infections. Except for emergency therapy, do not use in animals with tuberculosis, chronic nephritis, cushingoid syndrome and peptic ulcers. Existence of congestive heart failure, diabetes and osteoporosis are relative contraindications.

Warning:

Not for human use. Clinical and experimental data have demonstrated that corticosteroids administered orally or parenterally to animals may induce the first stage of parturition when administered during the last trimester of pregnancy and may precipitate premature parturition followed by dystocia, fetal death, retained placenta and metritis. Additionally, corticosteroids administered to dogs, rabbits and rodents during pregnancy have produced cleft palate. Other congenital anomalies including deformed forelegs, phocomelia and anasarca have been reported in the offspring of dogs which received corticosteroids during pregnancy.

Storage:

Store tablets at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

It is important to follow your Veterinarian's prescription instructions for your pet.

if you miss a dose, give the missed dose as soon as possible.

If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule.

Do not give your pet two doses at once.

Contact your veterinarian if you miss giving doses two or more days in a row
