AlphaTRAK lancets are designed to offer precision accuracy and minimal pain when lancing both cats and dogs for blood glucose monitoring.The lancets have a 28-gauge needle and a twist-top design for safety. Each lancet should be used just once, and they should be properly discarded in a sharps container, or in specially marked containers that note the contents. AlphaTRAK lancets should be used with the AlphaTRAK lancing device. AlphaTRAK lancets are in a box of 50 sterile lancets.

Desmopressin is a synthetic vasopressin drug prescribed by veterinarians for the treatment of central diabetes insipidus in cats and dogs. It is also included in therapy techniques used to treat Von Willebrand’s Disease in dogs.

Glipizide is used to reduce the blood sugar level in diabetic cats. It can be administered through out a cat's life in order to maintain the blood sugar at acceptable levels. The drug also helps to increase the tissue sensitivity so that even smaller doses of insulin work more effectively. Glipizide 5mg tablets are immediate release tablets and work by stimulating the insulin secretion contained in the beta cells of the pancreatic islets.

ProZinc is a protamine zinc insulin that is FDA approved for use in diabetic cats and dogs. Efficacy and safety studies demonstrated that ProZinc is effective in controlling hyperglycemia as either an initial treatment for newly diagnosed diabetic dogs and cats or as an alternative treatment for poorly regulated diabetic dogs and cats.
