Possible Side Effects:
Dog may experience drowsiness when taking K-BROVET™, but this will generally go away after approximately 3 weeks.
Increased hunger, thirst, urination, vomiting, constipation, anorexia, and uncoordinated movements may occur with K-BROVET.
During the load in dose increased nausea may be experienced.
There is no information on the relative frequency of pancreatitis in dogs associated with bromide therapy alone. However, pancreatitis has been reported to be more frequent in dogs on concurrent phenobarbital and bromide therapy than dogs on phenobarbital alone.
Personality changes have been occasionally reported in dogs on bromide, including attention seeking, irritability or aggression, and aimless pacing.
K-BROVET should be used cautiously in older animals as they will be more susceptible to adverse effects. Do not use in cats.
Store in a tightly sealed container at room temperature 59-86°F. Keep out of reach of children and animals.

K BroVet is given by mouth. Giving with food may decrease some side effects. The first doses may be larger than subsequent doses. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. It is vital that you not miss a dose and that you give the medication exactly as your veterinarian prescribes.
If you have difficulty giving the medication, contact your veterinarian.
This medication should only be given to the pet for whom it was prescribed.
It is important to follow your Veterinarian's prescription dosage for your pet, the following in is only a general guideline:
||For a loading dose to achieve a serum level of 1 mg/ml is give 54.5 mg/lb once a day for 5 days, then reduce to 13.6 mg/lb once a day.
To achieve a serum level of 1.5 mg/ml, give 72.7 mg/lb once a day for 5 days, then reduce to 18 mg/lb once a day.
