Deworming

Protazil, diclazuril1.56%, is an alfalfa-based antiprotozoal pellet indicated for the treatment of equine protozoal myeloencephalitis EPM caused by S. neurona in horses. It is labeled for a dosage rate of 1 mg/kg for 28 consecutive days. For use in horses only.

Safe-Guard Equi-Bits [ Fenbendazole Alfalfa Pellets ]is an alfalfa-based deworming pellet feed that deworms in a single step. Top dress pellets to the daily ration at the rate of 1 pound for each 1,000 pounds body weight 5 mg/kg fenbendazole. One pouch is a single dose for a 1,250-lb. horse, and only one dose is needed to control large strongyles, small strongyles, pinworms, and ascarids. No prior withdrawal of feed or water is necessary. Safe for use in all horses, including foals and pregnant mares.

Safe-Guard Equine Paste Dewormer [Fenbendazole] Fenbendazole 10% 100 mg/g paste anthelmintic indicated for the control of large strongyles Strongylus edentatus, S. equinus, S. vulgaris, encysted early third stage hypobiotic, late third stage and fourth stage cyathostome larvae, small strongyles, pinworms Oxyuris equi, ascarids Parascaris equorum, and arteritis caused by fourth stage larvae of Strongylus vulgaris in horses. Approved for use concomitantly with an approved form of trichlorfon. Trichlorfon is approved for the treatment of stomach bots Gasterophilus spp. in horses. Refer to the manufacturer's label for directions for use and cautions for trichlorfon. Do not use in horses intended for human consumption.
